What does this role involve?
The Board of Trustees are responsible for the running of the Association's affairs, and ensuring the Association is compliant with the financial and legal obligations it has as an organisation.
What have you studied / are studying at the OU?
I started with the OU on a professional skills programme for Travel Planning, and I recently studied towards a Certificate of Higher Education (Open).
Why have you decided to volunteer?
I feel I gained great experience as a CCR which has helped me in my trustee role.
What is your previous volunteering experience with the Association?
I have been a volunteer with the Association for a number of years, and had various roles as a CCR (from SRG, BoS, Student Experience and Appointments Committee).
What's the summary of what you want to do in your role?
I want to continue the hard work the previous Board did, and bring my skills and knowledge from other roles to the student trustee role. Having worked with several of the board already, I look forward to continuing to work with them.
What are your other interests (away from OU life)?
I am a massive football fan. If I'm not at the football (or watching it on TV), you will probably find me somewhere reading a book!
