The results of the vote on our Governance Reform resolutions concluded that only one of the five proposed changes to our Governing policies was approved.
Current Association rules mean changes need to be supported by 75% of voting delegates.
Resolution A ('Replace the biennial Conference with an Annual General Meeting') did not reach the 75% threshold and so did not pass.
Resolution B ('Implement the recommended changes to the composition and appointment of the Board of Trustees') did not reach the 75% threshold and so did not pass.
Resolution C ('Replace the Central Executive with a new student leadership and representation structure featuring a Student Leadership Team and a Student Forum') did not reach the 75% threshold and so did not pass.
Resolution D ('Implement the recommendation of a new Scrutiny Panel to hold the Student Leadership Team to account') did not reach the 75% threshold and so did not pass.
Resolution E ('Implement a range of minor and consequential changes to the Articles') exceeded 75% and did pass.
We're grateful to those who contributed and actively participated in both the For and Against campaigns. A special thank you also goes to all Delegates who voted.
