It’s back! Our Annual Membership Survey (AMS) is open for responses from you to ensure we can help make the most of your time at The Open University (OU)
Every student at The OU is automatically a member of the OU Students Association, and this survey is sent to all current members once a year to see how we can provide you with even stronger support through your studies.
At the OU Students Association, we strive to represent the best interests of OU Students and ensure the services we offer align with the student experience. This is where the AMS comes in, where we ask for your feedback on key areas of our services to help us inform decision-making at the Association.
Did we mention prizes? Opt-in once you’ve submitted your response to the AMS to enter our draw and have the chance to win one of our fabulous prizes, with shopping vouchers and Samsung tablets up for grabs!
Prizes
This year we are giving away some brilliant prizes, and all winners will be picked randomly from our prize draw. So, remember to opt-in to this once you’ve submitted your response!

How to submit your response:
We’re sending an email invite to every current member of the OU Students Association to take part. So, check your emails at the start of November for your invite where there will be a link to the survey.
How long is the survey open for?
The survey is open for a limited time, so submit it whilst you can! It opens from early November and will be closing on Wednesday 13 December 2024.
How long does it take to fill out the survey?
The Annual Membership Survey takes roughly 15 minutes to fill out.
How does your response support the student experience?
A fundamental way that the AMS helps support the student experience is helping us to track awareness of our Association and the services we offer amongst OU students. Through the responses we’ve had in previous years this has helped us to adjust our strategy to increase awareness of the OU Students Association and increase our ability to support students who aren’t aware of the crucial services we offer, resulting last year in a 7% increase in awareness from the previous year.
