Part Three

A stall of products

  • Being able to identify the products quickly on the day will be important, so please do take a little time to learn about them.
  • Some items have similar descriptions so it can be a little confusing.
  • To help your customers, and to take some of the pressure off you, become familiar with the product price sheet which gives you an image of the product, the description and price of all the items on sale.

On the day of the ceremony, the product price sheet will be included in the red admin box which contains all the items to support merchandising (e.g. credit/debit card machines, labels, forms, leaflets etc).

You can also download a copy of the price list from the link below, to familiarise yourself with product pricing.

2022 Price List

On the day, please ensure that the price tags (product description and stock code number known as the SSM code) are matched to the correct products (the SSM codes will be on the product packaging).

Open University clothing

The screenshot below is an example of a product description:

You may wish to visit our Web Shop, and read some of these descriptions to help further familiarise yourself with the products.

When you sell products at the ceremony you will need to fill out a sales receipt for each sale and when selling clothing it is of the highest importance that you note down the size sold on the receipt.

The receipt will have a yellow carbon copy which we retain for our stock reconciliation after the ceremonies - the top white sheet should be given to the customer.
