To all Open University students,
My name is Natalie Baker, and I'm excited to introduce myself as your new OU Students Association President for the 2024/26 term. As your President, my main goal is to represent you on the issues that matter to you and make sure your voices and experiences are heard and valued.
As you embark on this year's academic journey, I wanted to reach out and introduce myself and give you an insight into your Students Association. I lead the Student Leadership Team, a group of Open University student volunteers who look to ensure the student voice is heard across the Association, university and beyond, fostering positive change for OU students during their study journey. Check out our bios to find out more about the full team and how to get in touch with us!
The Association is here to provide support, guidance and help you get the most out of your time at the Open University. We're all about fostering a sense of community, even though we are spread across different locations, time zones and subject areas. I encourage you to get involved, connect with fellow students, and take advantage of all the resources and support networks available to you.
Whether you're just beginning your studies or well on your way, I know the path you've chosen can be both challenging and rewarding, but your Students Association is a hub for all things advice, opportunity and community to support you as you navigate your studies. From volunteering with us to student meetups, support services, and specific interest clubs & societies, there’s something for everyone at the Association.
I know balancing studies with family, work, health and everything else life throws at you can be tough and I want to wish you the very best of luck in your studies. Remember as you move forward towards your goals, the Association is here to support you every step of the way.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or just want to share your thoughts and ideas. Together, we can make this academic year one of community, new experiences and personal growth.
Best of luck!
Natalie Baker
