We are aware of recent announcements regarding the regulatory aspect of Higher Education, and understand that students may have some questions on whether this will impact them. These announcements include:

  • Changes to the approach of regulating student outcomes at an institutional level
  • Changes to the National Student Survey to incorporate questions based on freedom of speech and mental health support
  • The withdrawal of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education as the designated body for regulating exam and assessment standards at universities.

We will continue to monitor developments and work with the Open University to ensure that the voice of OU students is heard in any discussions, and will provide firmer updates as and when we can.

If you do have any particular concerns, please contact ousa@open.ac.uk.
