2022 saw the launch of the Students Association Tutor Awards. Designed to give recognition to OU Tutors and their dedication to the role, the Tutor Awards also provide OU students with a platform to share their learning experiences during their study journey.
Last year, we received a total of 175 nominations across all faculties. Students shared testimonials demonstrating how OU tutors are delivering quality practice and dedication in their role. Judges composed of volunteers and the Student Leadership Team, chose a winner from each faculty.
Winners of the 2022 awards were: Fiona Aiken (Open & Access), Laura Platts (FBL), Lucy Caton (WELS), Michael Courtney (FASS), Peter Piper (STEM). The winning tutors were invited to receive their awards at our annual Freshers Fair, hosted in the Library at our Milton Keynes Campus.
The library was a hive of activity, buzzing with new students eager to start their OU journey. Pictures show a few of the winning tutors collecting their awards on the day.
