Our Vice President, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Natalie Baker, attended an evidence session for the Higher Education Commission on behalf of Open University students this week.
The evidence session, which was hosted at the House of Lords, involved a roundtable discussion on the topic of blended learning in higher education, and included students from universities across England.
The session covered of a range of topics that impact accessibility, and the issues that students are facing that effect their ability to engage with study. Natalie was able to ensure that the unique experience of OU students was a part of the conversation.
Natalie said: “It was great to be a part of the conversation on how learning can be future proofed and always open and accessible for everyone”.
Further evidence sessions for the Commission are plan and will involve members of the Student Leadership Team to represent the OU student voice.
