About Us

The M500 Society exists to promote the study and enjoyment of mathematics, especially (but not exclusively) for Open University mathematics students.

The M500 Society focuses on three main activities:

The May Revision Weekend – this weekend is designed to help students improve their exam performance, and offers a great opportunity for Mathematics students to meet face-to-face with fellow students studying on their own and other courses. Our 2025 weekend details have just been announced.
The Winter Weekend – this is a Friday to Sunday residential event held early in January.
The M500 Magazine – this is published free to all M500 members six times a year. It contains articles, comments, puzzles, reviews and news submitted by members. It is aimed at all levels of mathematical attainment from Foundation to Postgraduate.
