This promotion offers entrants the chance to win a bundle from the OU Students Shop worth £100 for first place (bundle consisting of Varsity Hoodie, OU Sweatshirt, New OU Notebook x2, Mr Owl, Recycled Pencil), a bundle from the OU Students Shop worth £50 for second place (bundle consisting of Varsity Hoodie, New OU Notebook, Recycled Pencils x2), and an OU Sweatshirt from the OU Students Shop worth £25 for third place. The Promoter is the Open University Students Association.
Open University student promotion only. Open to current students who can provide a valid, current personal identifier number for The Open University, or who are extended members of the Students Association or who are Honorary Life Members. This promotion is not available to students who are employees of the Open University and its subsidiaries including Associate Lecturers. Employees of the OU Students Association, their families and agents are excluded from winning this prize.

Opens at 12 noon (BST) on Sunday 8 October 2023 and closes at 11pm (GMT) on Sunday 29 October 2023.
In order to take part in this free competition, entrants must submit an article, poem or creative writing piece on the theme ‘time’, not exceeding 1000 words, to oustudents-community@open.ac.uk. Entries must be submitted either in the text of the email or attached to the email as a Microsoft Word Document.
The promotion ends on 29/10/2023 and the winner will be chosen by a judging panel of Open University students and Society committee members. Entries will be anonymised before being sent to the judges. Judging will commence in the week commencing 30 October 2023 and winners will be informed by email and announced on the OU Students Association website and social media channels by 17 November 2023.
The first place winner will win a bundle from the OU Students Shop worth £100 consisting of Varsity Hoodie, OU Sweatshirt, New OU Notebook x2, Mr Owl, Recycled Pencil. The second place winner will win a bundle from the OU Students Shop worth £50 consisting of Varsity Hoodie, New OU Notebook, Recycled Pencils x2. The third place winner will win an OU Sweatshirt from the OU Students Shop worth £25. These winners will be notified by 17/11/2023 via email. Following the offer, the winners will need to provide their OU Personal Identifier in order to verify their OU student status. After verification is complete, the Promoter will order the prize to be sent to the winners chosen delivery address.
Please note that if the winner’s delivery address is outside of the UK, the winner may need to pay customs duties, import tax and/or handling fees to receive the item. Any fee(s) will vary between countries. By entering this competition, the winner agrees to pay the fee(s) if applicable.
The Promoter reserves the right to award a different prize of similar value, for example if the advertised prize is no longer available to purchase or if it is not deliverable to the winner’s delivery address. No cash alternative shall be offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to publish any entries on its social media, website (oustudents.com) and online magazine (thehootstudents.com).
The Promoter reserves the right to reject those entries which it considers, in its absolute discretion, do not comply with these T&C’s or are fraudulent.
By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these T&C’s.
Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into for non-winning entries.
