This opportunity is for the Communications Officer and the successful recruit will overview the communications on behalf of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students Group.
As Communications Officer, you will work with the Committee in helping to deliver the agreed strategy for the Group. Your duties will include, but are not limited to (depending on the agreed strategy of the Committee):

Coordinating/creating internal and external communications for the Group, for example; social media, forums and newsletters.

Working closely with the Chair, Vice Chair and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Rep to engage students through online platforms for events, support and advocacy.

Ensuring that all communications from the Group are accessible.

Moderating and coordinating the moderation of the Group’s online platforms.

Being a point of contact for communication-related matters with relevant staff at the Association, the Student Leadership Team and other student-led Support Groups.

Reviewing communications by gathering feedback from the Committee and Group members.

Hours per week
Up to 5 hours per week (up to 10 hours in busier periods) for a two-year period.
Training available
Mixture of online induction sessions delivered via Teams as well as online self-study modules to complete. Covering Welcome sessions, Event and Meet-up Hosting and Accessibility, Safeguarding, GDPR.
Location
This role is mainly online with occasional face-to-face events/activities with prior arrangement.
