As an OU student, you are eligible to register for a TOTUM discount card.
With the TOTUM card, you will have access to discounts, offers and vouchers from a wide range of national brands both online and on the high street.

TOTUM offers free, one-year, digital-only student membership, renewable annually, or, for a wider range of benefits, paid for student + memberships from £14.99 for one year to £24.99 for three years.

Steps to getting your TOTUM card:
- Activate your ou.ac.uk student email address by accessing it using your OUCU* (not your PI!). Find out how on the OU Help Centre.
- Sign up to TOTUM using your ou.ac.uk email address.
- TOTUM will ask you to verify your account by sending an email to your ou.ac.uk email address - make sure to click the verification link.
- Order your TOTUM card and enjoy your discounts!
*OUCU, or OU computer username, is the username you use to login to StudentHome and your module website. Find out more about accessing OU systems on the OU Help Centre.
Students living outside the UK
At this time, we are unable to receive cards for international students to our office address for forwarding free of charge. However, students may download the app through which all discounts are available.
Other forms of photo ID
In order to vote in the UK, you need to bring along photo ID with you. There are various options available to you.
CitizenCard is offered by the NUS, and gives you the opportunity to apply for a UK ID card online. Remember that in order to vote in UK elections, everyone needs to bring along photo ID with them. CItizenCard is a free and quick way for students to obtain this photo ID.

Voter Authority Certificate
If you do not have any existing forms of photo ID (including CitizenCard), you can obtain a Voter Authority Certificate, which is available from the government's website.

NB: You can only use a Voter Authority Certificate in England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has photo ID different requirements.
