The Yorkshire Peaks Challenge is back! It is a 12-hour journey that will take you on an adventure across three of Yorkshires most beautiful mountains to raise money for the OU Students Educational Trust. As a group you will be guided through the walk with two fully qualified mountain leaders who will lead the way on what is a spectacular scenic adventure.

Taking place on Saturday, 21 June 2025, the longest daylight weekend of the year, the challenge is designed to raise money for the OU Students Educational Trust, a charity that provides OU students with grants that will support them to complete their studies. You can find out more about some of the students the trust has supported at OUSET stories. As a group, we are looking for all participants to raise £245 each to total of £3636, the cost of covering a module for an OU student in need. All funds raised through the JustGiving campaign will be used to help OU Students through OUSET's Grant Giving Activities.

To get involved in the challenge, we ask participants for an £85 registration fee that covers the following:

  • qualified Mountain leader, with full first aid outdoor certification to lead the group.
  • Support vehicle for emergency use, plus half way check in with snacks and water top ups.
  • Accommodation in Dales Lodge for 2 nights from Friday 20 - Sunday 22 June.
  • Teams call with group and guide ahead of challenge for Q&A.
